Cheryl Cole 'will quit if Minogue is sacked'.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly told Simon Cowell that she will quit her role on The X Factor if he replaces Dannii Minogue on the show.

The Girls Aloud singer is said to be concerned that she may not get along with Minogue's replacement if she leaves, The Sun reports.

A source said: "Cheryl told Simon straight - if it's not her and Dannii together, then he's looking for two new stars.

"There's no way he will let them both go. The show was a bigger success than ever and Simon knows a lot of that is down to Cheryl."

The source added that Cole does not believe the programme needs any format changes to remain successful.

Reports had emerged that Cowell was considering sacking Minogue from the show, with a number of stars supposedly in the frame to replace the Australian singer.

However, X Factor bosses denied many of the reports and confirmed that they are in talks with Minogue to renew her contract for this year's series.

Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue demand X-Factor pay rise

X-factor judges, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are both demanding a pay rise to mean they will be paid £1 million for the next series.

Cheryl Cole is asking for an increase £250,000, meaning she will then be paid £1 million for her to return as golden girl judge on the X-factor.

Dannii Minogue though is not happy with Cheryl earning more than her. Dannii currently on £500,000 a series is looking to double her fee meaning she also wants a million for the next series.

Rumours are spreading that it will be unlikely that Dannii will be given her huge salary increase and she’s more likely to get £750,000, whilst Girls Aloud, Cheryl, could be given the £1 million.

Cheryl is the girl they are desperate to get to sign on the dotted line after her popularity with both contestants and viewers in the last series, not to mention Simon Cowell’s obvious affection for her.

Dannii’s said to be furious that she is paid less that the Geordie Golden girl but it’s likely to be the same again this series with Cheryl getting more money than Miss Minogue.

Let’s hope for that amount of money we’ll get some fantastic comments from the glamorous duo rather than some of the plastic last lustre advice we heard in the last series.

Dannii, Kylie and Natalie join up for OZ fire relief

Kylie Minogue is teaming up with sister Dannii and fellow Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia to host a benefit show in London for the victims of the Australian bush fires. The stars hope to raise funds and give people the chance to pay their respects to the 173 who have perished.

Rescue services in the fire-ravaged country are expecting the death toll to rise when they get to search burnt-out buildings and houses in the state of Victoria - home state for the Minogues.

Kylie ' s pal, Aussie author Kathy Lett, told us at the Elle Style Awards last night that the wheels have been put in motion for the London event.

While Kylie and Dannii would like something along the lines of a memorial service, Natalie is trying to convince them to go down the l ine of a fundraising show.

Kathy told us: "We want to hold a memorial service in London so people can pay their respects. We're working on that now. The situation down there is really, really dreadful."

Speaking about Kylie, she added: "Her parents are in Melbourne, so we're all very worried. There are serious fires, and there is also a drought, which is very much preying on our minds.

"They live in Melbourne, and that's where Dannii is at the moment. We're all very concerned and worried. Kylie has been calling and emailing her family constantly - we're all deeply upset and concerned."

Natalie, who presented the Future Fashion Award to designer ERDEM, told us at the afterparty: "I think we should definitely talk about doing something like a fundraiser for those affected by the bush fires. Thankfully, I pers ona l ly don' t know anyone affected."

Daily Mirror: Dannii's still got the X Factor, as Cowell does U-turn

Dannii Minogue WILL return to the X Factor, after a U-turn by Simon Cowell.
She is to rejoin the panel after he decided keeping her on would help win the ratings battle with the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Cowell also fears making a martyr of the singer after the embarrassment of last month sacking Kelly Brook from his other ITV series, Britain’s Got Talent. Insiders says Cowell came to the decision after talks with potential replacements including Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Lily Allen and Charlotte Church. He is said to have been particularly impressed with Baby Spice Emma, 32, who appeared in the judges houses section of the X Factor last year.

But sources say Cowell changed his mind at the 11th hour after calculating that keeping Dannii, 37, would help swell the X Factor’s ratings after it peaked at a record 14million in December.
A source close to Cowell revealed: “He had been toying with the idea of new blood for a while, but when he looked back it became increasingly obvious that Dannii was the talking point of the last series.

“Simon is a very canny businessman and this is a purely business decision.

“Although sacking Dannii and getting a new judge could win viewers for the first few shows, keeping Dannii pretty much guarantees fireworks throughout the entire series.”"

Meanwhile, Cowell has been in talks about making one new appointment – supermodel Kate Moss. He wants the 35-year-old model to help contestants with styling advice. But Kate – who is worth an estimated £15million – is said to be nervous about the offer and is yet to accept.
